recovery time for banding

I am a 50 year old man who had one banding about two months ago and a second banding 4 weeks ago. The medical pamphlet said I should be healed by now -- and indeed my pain is much less than it was a few months ago. The doctor examined the banding sites recently and said I had healed - he could see no more prolapsed tissue. Yet, I still experience stabbing pain (about a 3 level on scale of 1-10 pain) most every day for about six hours. A few wonderful days I've had no pain.
Has anybody else out there experienced this long a recovery time from what the doctor tells me is a successful banding? When will these nerves finally settle down. Posted on 07/08/09, 01:07 pm |

i never had a banding done...and i am so sorry you are in pain. people who have never suffered with hemms will never know the pain and embarrasment we live with. hard to even explain to people how much it hurts, don't you think?
i hope that your recovery is swift, and permanent!
