Only had a mild case, which seems to have resolved itself more or less now! I used Anusol along with Germaloids cream, Lactulose laxative (or any other mild laxative) and Avatrol capsules (these appear to have worked despite my initial doubts). Would a lesser combination have worked? Maybe, but I sure wasn't leaving anything to chance! Thankfully that 'barbed wire' feeling has long gone! So, yes, I'd recommend Anusol, but to be used alongside other treatments. Hope it helps, I really do!

LindyLee....I saw your post on Nupercainal so I went to Amazon.....ordered 2 tubes of it.....$24. It arrived today.....and its the BEST!!!
I would recommend it to anyone. I have tried all the OTC stuff I could find these last few weeks and this stuff really helped ....immediately. I love it!!! ~~~bear

lioness....tube says "hemmorrhoidial & topical analgesic ointment". Looks like active ingredient is DIBUCANE. Us it like prep H for relief of the pain & itching.
