Advice:
Long term effects of lactulose

Hi All.

I have suffered from hemmorhiods for many years. I have found that lactulose works for me and keeps them at bay. However, as soon as I miss even one day, my hemmorhoids come back with a vengence, and then they take several weeks to heal again all the time while taking lactulose.

My question is are there any long term effects of taking lactulose? If there are i need to do the surgery. Any help would be appreciated.

Dan.

" After reading up on lactulose, it sounds as though you'd be better off taking a stool softener regularly, rather than that. I'm taking Phillips Stool Softener, and it helps a lot. There are many good ones out there, that just happened to be the one I got. I wish you the best, and hope you'll find permanent relief soon. "
