Hi All,

First I would like to say that I have read about Hemophilia and I understand about your disease. I hope that all of you get well and that your treatments work for you.

I have been assigned to write a report about Hemophilia. One of the requirements is to interview someone with Hemophilia and since we don't know anyone with this disease my Dad suggested that we find a support group and try to do it this way. My Mom thought someone may be offended by this request and if you are please let me know and I will stop. We have come up with questions below and if anyone wants to answer them please feel free to. Thank You in advance.

Sincerely,
Alex

Are you scared to get a cut?

How did you feel when you were told you have hemophilia?

Has hemophilia stopped you from doing anything you wanted to do?

How old were you when you were diagnosed with hemophilia?

Does anyone else in your family have it?

How often do you have to go to the doctor to monitor your condition?

What symptons did you have that doctors determined your hemophilia?

Have you ever had a life or death situation with hemophilia?

" Hi,

No,I've never been scared to get a cut...I've had as many as any person without Haemophilia.

I used to feel more embarrassed than anything else as it was alway's difficult to explain[to my peers] a prolonged bleed for a minor cut.

As far as how I felt..when told I had Haemophilia...well,I was 7 year's of age at the time and can't recall a great deal of my feeling's at that age.

Haemophilia has stopped me doing a number of thing's Sport;..Rugby and Boxing..passion's of mine. But,you get over it with time and age LOL !

No one else in my family has Haemophilia.

I visited the Doc's on a regular basis in my early year's.

I now only see the Doc..when I feel I need to see him or for some important issue raised by the Doc.

My sympton's were a tooth extraction at the age of 7.

My gum bled for 3 day's until the diagnosis of Haemophilia.

To date;I've had no Life threatening situation's.

Hope this is of help to you..and it's not too late for you.

If there are any other question's from yourself....just ask.

Regard's "
