Hello, when I was a year old, I was diagnosed with HUS. Does anyone know any long term effects from the disorder? My husband and I are trying to have another child. We have suffered from multiple miscarriages.

I had HUS when I was little. I've had high blood pressure and been on meds for it ever since then.
I did have one son who was born at 30 weeks and 1 day because I had preeclamsia. After having my son, I continue to have high blood pressure, yet it is controlled now. My OB has suggested waiting at least 5 years for my body to heal before we have another child. Dec.07 I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, stage 1. I do believe that HUS has long term effects, and it is something that needs to be studied more.
