Gallstones

I found out this week that I have gallstones and my pcp is referring me to a surgeon. I haven't heard back from my cardiologist and rheumatologist to see if they will clear me for surgery, and I read on line somewhere that they sometimes won't do it for heart patients. Has anyone had to get this or other relatively minor surgery done while having heart failure?

" I consulted with the surgeon today, and he thinks it's important we go ahead with surgery. My cardiologist agreed. It's not just the pain that is the issue--there is a high risk of complications if left as-is. i could end up with pancreatitis and/or liver sepsis. The way he put it, people with good hearts have difficulty recovering when that happens, so...
I'm having the procedure on Monday.
