had a doctor appt yesterday..went well..dont have to go back for six months and do an echo again then....
meds stayed the same...but because i still have a lot of 'body' fatique...she gave me some exercises to do in addition to walking...she said that the body takes time to heal after the heart improves and thats why i still get tired after very little activity...its nice to know reason why and that maybe it can improve...so i will walk again later in the day and do some light lifting with weights for arm strengthening... son is letting me borrow his weights....what a kid...but he had to dig around to find the lite ones... so all in all..am happy..she told me i was no longer considered 'in crisis'...which is good considering i didnt know i was 'in crisis'... so off for the morning walk...have a great day all...!!!!! Awesome! So glad to hear your good news! I saw Dr. Moore recently as well, and it was a positive visit. Hoping my next echo in October will show continued improvement. I still think it's so funny we live so close and ended up w/the same doctor that isn't really close by!
Glad you mentioned the body fatigue thing--I have been having the same issue; I feel a lot weaker than I used to be (can't even take a jug of milk off the fridge shelf without using a second hand for support). You are way better than me with your ambition, though. I need to find the gumption to exercise!

funny thing about the exercise...my little walk in the morning is about what i can do..i went for a short walk last nite with hubby...wow...that was a lot..i may just do second walk on treadmill..i think he would have looked funny walking home carrying me...!!!
the weights are tough too...i couldnt do the number she said to start at.. thats a bit frustrating...ugh... its funny..i went to college in boston..moved out of MA over 18 months ago..and going to and being in boston is sensory overload...haha...i am always so happy driving out of there and coming home to NH...

I started cardiac rehab 6 weeks ago and they started me with a 5 minute walk. After 6 weeks I have only progressed to 14 minutes. And I do two sets of lifting weights...3 lbs. It takes time. In another group I belong to...we call it the "new normal". And I still have good times and bad. Glad you got a good report.

HI
I am sorry you are having some difficulty. But I am glad for you that the doctor has suggested exercise. That is a really good sign. The cardio is such a big help to the heart - learn to love it. If you are able to do any weight routines - go for them (with permission of course) as they will give you so much more than you can imagine. Best of health. Love, Raoul
