Had my 3rd appt. with CHF specialist today, with just a few modifications me EF has gone frm 18% last june to 25% last week. He put me on spironolact (generic name) increased my lasix a little (becaused I cant stop drinking ice water,)
continued my accupril and digixon, and is changing me to Coreg. This is the first Dr I have had whos says You can live a long life if u want.
He thinks in 3 - 6 months he can have my EF at 50%.
Sorry for the gloating but this is the first good news in a while in my life. The really strange thing is he is refusing payment because he knows i am un employed (DR with a heart WOW). So yes everyone if there is hope for me there is hope for all.

" Great news. My doctor is much the same. He is SO impressed with my progress. It's a lot of what we do once we are diagnosed. I had to change ALL my eating habits. I had to start getting active. And most of all, I had to work through the depression when I was first diagnosed and get to the point where this is NOT going to get me down. It's good to hear another positive story on here. Especially for the newly diagnosed who read only the horror stories. "
