" I have cardiomyopathy w/ LV dilation and ventric. arrythmia. Coreg has saved my life. I wouldn't be here without it. I take 50 mg./day. Side effects are mild in my case, but it does cause me to feel very sleepy alot. Also, long term use (10 yrs. in my case) is linked to Depression, which I have. I guess it's a small price to pay for my life. "

" I just started Coreg on 9/12/07. My attending Dr. at the hospital said I could go back to work on the 26th, but I am just to tired. I worked 2 days last week and have taken this week off. I see the Cardio Dr. this week, and will ask him if this tiredness will get any better. "

" Coreg is one of the best drugs out there for heart failure. I have taken it and gotten my Ef up to 30% from 15% in 2 yrs. Unfortunatly, we thought I could get off it and now my EF is 20% again. I now take Coreg Cr 80 mg daily and once you get used to it, it really does help. Thank God we live in this day and age where we have such great medicine available to us! "

" I take Carvedilol and am interested in knowing what others think the drug has done for them. I experienced a Sudden Cardiac Death Event (SCDE) in December 2007 and I can't yet separate the effects of the drugs from the effects of the event. I can't smell anything and my ability to taste is muted. Do you think this has to do with the drug or just a part of the recovery. "

" It is my understanding that Coreg is a great drug for CHF. Unfortunately, I could not take it. I had a pretty uncomfortable allergic reaction. It was the first choice of my doctors. So, instead, I take Toprol XL. These drugs along with resynchronization therapy(biventricular pacemaker) are miracles for cardiomyopathy/CHF patients like me. "
