" I am extremely tired too. The meds really zap your energy. I am sure a good multivitamin will help but I wouldn't get a bunch of stuff from the health food store or anything. You don't know what interacts with the heart failure meds.
You will need periods of rest. The meds slow you down because you need to slow down. Take care of yourself.

" It's a case sometimes of which is worse the meds or the disease, both make you so tired you have to just drag yourself around. Every single RX I take for chf says "may make you fatigued" - just what we need. I have no advice, just sympathy and a cyber hug that tomorrow wil be a good day... Take it easy and rest when you need to, J "

" anything that has a stimulant effect is definitely a no-no when it comes to heart failure, so...no, there is nothing that will give you more energy i would think.

maybe light exercise if you can handle it, but that may make you more tired. "

" I have no advice either, My biggest problem is getting started in the AM. Light exercise does help some but if I over do it my evening is shot. "

" I have no advice..other than since I have changed everything I eat and have lost 44 pounds I feel SO much better. And my CHF is much improved. I only take one blood pressure medicine and he even took me off of Lasix. As soon as I can get rid of the coumadin which should be next week...I'll be great. However, I have heard that being tired is part of the disease. And you need to start slow.... "
