Well let me start with my story.....4-22-09 the night I will NEVER forget! I had a heart attack! Luckily I was home so help was only a phone call away. My husband is military and unfortunately deployed at the time, we have 3 young children who were home I am only 37....how could this be happening??I had one stent put in they did fly my husband home. Now though I am really struggling with panic attacks, they come on for no reason while having the attacks of course I swear that I am having chest pain.....I have been hospitalized one time for the first one I had and just recently was back at the ER with another, they were both different. The last one had me shaking uncontrollably. I am just so scared all the time now. If I get a pain in my left arm or the smallest twinge near my heart I go right into fight or flight! All the doctors have told me that I am fine and my heart is beating as it should, the EKG'S are normal so why do still have these issues??? I have thought about going to cardio rehab but I am only 37 I feel like I would be out of place has anyone else gone or found another resource to help with recovery?
I am open to all suggestions! Thank you!

" Hey there...sorry to hear about your event...scary isnt it?
Main thing is youre alive and well.
Your system went into shock, and its scared of a recurrence...
You are more aware than ever now.

You must acknowledge that it did happen at a early age, find out why it happened, and then do what you have to to prevent it from happening again.
Its normal to be afraid. Its human.
But you will overcome it and look back at it as a chapter in your life. You cant run away from it.
Be strong and thankful u are still alive.

Everything of the best. "

" Missy,
I had mine at the age of 39 because of a allergic reaction to a migraine medication. No stents were put in but I have to go today for more test because my EKG came out messed up. Not quite sure what to look forward too. You are not alone. There are quite a few of us in here. "

" I am ONLY 52! I have had 3 heart attacks and have been so depressed because I am afraid of every little ache I get. i was 43 when I had My first H.A. and after the 2n'd one I quit smoking because the dr. said thats what caused them, but that was 5 years ago and a month ago I had my third one. I think You have to find peace in your mind before you can heal physically. Yes you are very young, but sometimes age has nothing to do with it. I hope you find that peace, because I still struggle every day and plus I am one very angry woman. "

" Miss, the 3 best things you can do for yourself is to no
No.1 get an appointment with a therapist and a counciler. that takes awhile most of them are booked way in advance so hurry.

No.2 Get into {cardiac rehab} it is a monitored session and they really care to exercise your heart muscle just enuff to make it strong they dont work you like a dog thats not good for you either they know their stuff, when you walk 2 miles on a treadmill and you hardly feel winded you begin to get excited and confident in your prognosis please do it for yourself.

No.3 when you feel your panic coming on challenge it if you feel your passing out say outloud "ok lets passout" your not real! those type of technics will empower you alot, and one last thing if you can keeep from being alone it will also help you function,i have experienced and still do all of the things you do and its hard but we must do what we need to survive the emotional and anxious part of this trip..
