" Hi all,
I'm new to the club. I had a heart attack on 6/12/09. I'm 48. I decided I needed to get healthy for the last time back in February. I had lost 40 lbs. and knocked my tri's down to 166 from 395. I had also started walking and swimming. Didn't matter, I still had a HA. I've got 4 stents. I live my life in fear now. It stinks. I want my old self back. I'm worried I won't be able to do my job which is physical. Ughhh....I'm very tired of being afraid. And man oh man, am I tired of thinking about my HA. Oh yeah, I haven't completely quit smoking either. I feel like a complete fraud. I go through my cardiac rehab program, then go home and light up a cig. pathetic....
