" Hi Rebecca,
What you are experiencing is normal. This event is unexpected and often surreal. You will have plenty of questions, thoughts and wonderings. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctors and ask them questions, even after they have already addressed a question. The emotional and psychological impact of your heart problem is such that often questions come quicker than the listening and sometimes the answers don't seem to register quite right. Don't panic. You already are on the road to recovery even though it may not seem like it or it appears to be slow. Your body will dictate the rate of recovery. It may or may not be in line with that of others, it doesn't matter. Listen to your body. When you feel tired, stop and rest. Don't attempt to rush the recovery. There are elements that need time to recover, adjust and strengthen.
My prayers are with you. "

" I was a depressed zombie for a monthafter going home then I got stronger day by day doing what I was supposed to do..exercise and eat and take meds...Walking helped a lot.
I tried to go back to work too early ...if you can don't go back to work for as long as possible.
Take care of yourself....and be sure to talk about how you are feeling. "

" The heart is God's creation. When one artery blocks, a collateral artery opens. Whether bypass or angioplasty, the ultimate aim is to increase the ejection fraction. If you have a EF of 50 to 55% and above, you need not worry for the heart. Just change your life style and diet so that re clogging of arteries do not take place. As per the research, there is no meaning in going for bypass or angioplasty after 24 hours of the attack. Dear, do not think about your heart attack. Do not allow your subconscious mind to play havoc on your body. Think positive and you will never have any problem. "

" I also had a heart attack and was afraid to even go to sleep for fear I would not wake up. It has been 10 weeks since my H.A. After about a month I realized I was still alive and kicking so I better get ready to live a little longer. I only eat fish, rice, Cheerios, V8 juice (regular and the berry flavor). I am working 1.5 miles a day. I have reduced smoking from a pack a day down to 2 a day and hopefully will completly quit in the next few weeks. I am using Chantix medication to help with the smoking, it seems to help ALOT! Any other Heart Attack people who are still smoking? "
