I feel so stupid, so stuck between...I don't know how to word it. I am not Deaf. I am not a proficient signer, I understand more than I produce, on the otherhand, I'm not hearing, I can't always hear well and it's so FRUSTRATING. At a conference for teachers and their are interpreters, my FM is not working well and I get too much static. so I hear some and miss some, I watch the interpreter and miss taking notes and look down to take notes and miss more and I feel so ALONE. I'm here to learn to teach kids how to NOT feel alone, how to NOT isolate themselves because they can DO anything...and here I am. Hard of Hearing and Stuck between, feeling stupid and incompetent in either world.

I understand that everyone has their own type of hearing problems,but try this for size my daughter and i was walking to the corner store when a car was coming through the parking lot right behind me ,but because i didn't hear him blow i was really close to being hit if my daughter wasn't their to pull me out the way of the car i am supposed to protect her not the other way around can anyone guess how i feel about being H O H ?
