Newly adjusting to phones. For the most part I get feed back when answering the phones. Does anyone use magnet reed switch activator for auto T-Coil? And does it work for you? Mostly I can't hear what the person is saying.. Very frustrating..

I appreciate the help. Thank you.

" I have the same problem and it is very frustrating. I did use T coil and that does not help. I just turn down the hearing aid alittle and turn the volume up on the phone. "

" Did you try TTY mode? I know most cell phones have it, otherwise yeahh. Turn the hearing aids down a bit, or if its work try to arrange face to face meetings. "

" I don't know if you have ever heard of hearing aid modified phones, but if you ask for them. The store can usually show you some phones that are designed to work with your hearing aid.
I can relate I used to have hell with my phones UNTIL I started using a modified phone. I still get a little feedback, but now I can understand the person I'm talking to.
Hope that helps. "

" I have a cell phone that gives me trouble sometimes when there is wind or other noise around me. I have kind of had to learn that there are times I just can't talk on the phone. If I have an ear infection it makes it impossible. I have a t-coil on both sides and I still havent really figured out how much benefit it gives me. Somehow up until now I have managed pretty well. I will admit there have been times when I had to get someone else to speak for me because I couldn't hear what was being said, so I understand how frustrating it can be. If I learn anymore, I will pass the info on. Karen "

" Oh yes I am still struggling with the phones. Especially dealing with high volume phone calls. I work in a ER it can be chaotic. My sensory system gets over loaded. Some days are better than others.

Management gave me a headset........but its a piece of junk. I can hear okay..its the mic that does not work. Very frustrating.. "
