OT - another damn car accident :(

Nobody got hurt, but my back is starting to stiffen up lots so I might go and get checked out at the doctor's tomorrow.
I wasn't even driving this time, I was a passenger in my friends' car when some bimbo went into the back of us. We think she'd been drinking, so if I do have any back trouble tomorrow I think I'm going to be a bit of a bitch and claim for compensation on her insurance. Apart from that, at least no-one got hurt. My friends' car will definitely need a new rear bumper as a minimum, but I think they should get the car checked out just in case. Oh I won't have taken any lasting damage, the impact didn't happen at high speed. But all the same it was one hell of a jolt, and another round of back pain/stiffness is the last thing I need right now. (Ironic thing is I was just getting over the last bout of back pain ...................)
It's the fact that she smelled of alcohol when she was talking to my friend that I'm pissed off about (and the reason why I feel a compensation claim might be fair game.)

Well I've been in to A&E this morning for a quick check-over, at least there's no actual spine damage so the back pain is just muscular.
I can think of more fun reasons to be known as "Miss Whiplash" .................. but never mind, at least it'll pass!

How are you feeling mentally, sweetie? Sometimes that is the most lasting damage from an accident. I still get nervous, 10 years after being plowed into at an intersection, whenever approaching an intersection. Recently someone sideswipped me on the freeway, from the left, and I now get antsy when cars pass me on the left. I think it is definitely a form of PTSD. So watch out for reactions like this as well. ~~~hugs~~~ to you!
