So I'm getting ready to discuss the option with my doctor this week. And i just wanna see which ones work best with other people and which ones have not so pleasant side effects. Anything i should try and avoid. Just general curiosity.

i'm on orthocyclin. like it case i take it 3 months straight (without the placebo week) and only get my period every 3 months. haven't noticed any sideaffects. i think i'm on a low dose.

I have had an implant in my arm. It stopped my periods but it did kinda made me abit moody. I had my implant in for 5 years then it expired and then they took it out

im on the mini pill micronor
coz of my age and i smoked i been on it for 7 years and ifind it really good, no side effects and i can go for months and months without periods which is great

I had the coil in place for a while ......... PAINFUL to have fitted (this coming from someone who's not squeamish about tattoos or piercings); and after that I'd get sudden severe abdominal pains intermittently so I had to have it removed. Not an option I'd recommend to anyone else.
I'm not with anyone at the moment but since getting the coil removed I've insisted on condoms - after going through all that pain, I don't have much sympathy for a man who says he doesn't like the feel of them!

Am on the depo-provera injection. One jab lasts 10 weeks. I did put on weight, but I'd rather be fat and not pregnant than fat and pregnant!! I've been on it 5yrs and have no had one period; whoop whoop, I love it!!

Ive been on pill, implant, injection, and now on the mini pill. Anything with extra hormones in sends memad, i have really heavy and irregular bleeding, stomach cramps, mood swings the lot, so only 2 options that i can have which is mini pill and coil with no hormones in...tempted to try soon, im very forgetful at taking pill

I'm on a kind called jolesa (not sure if thats how its spelled). i only get my period 4 times a year, so no pmsing. the only thing that i can think of as an effect would be an increase in boob size. otherwise it's maintained my weight i think.

you girls go through a lot of the sake of intimacy. I didn't like it when my wife took them. I felt bad to see her going through any side effects. I made her stop. Just pulled in time and that worked for us.
