how much is too much?? I LOVE ITTTTTTTTT and would eat it for every meal everyday if i could..........

Dr Wiel is quik to point out that some books written by him is a good way to realize ur dietary dreams. & l still like the 'common sense diet' The best way to lose weight, quit smoking etc is to make it as painless as possible & frequent rewards!! I dint 'quit' smoking, l'm just using the $ for something else

peanut butter is pretty good for you. THat is if you are buying peanut butter made from just roasted peanuts. NOT NOT NOT the kind with added oils and sugars. Those are not good for you. I'd say a few tablespoons of peanut butter a day are ok if you really love it. I mean eating is supposed to be fun right? I might also suggest trying some other nut butters. SUch as raw almond butter, which is even better for you than peanut butter. You can also try sunflower seed butter, or soynut butter.
And make sure you aren't just eating your peanut butter on white bread! Try it on apples or make your own granola bars with peanutbutter in them. If you are set on eating your peanut butter with bread, make sure its a wholegrain bread. peanut butter with whole grain bread is actually a great source of combined proteins and a pretty common suggested snack for vegetarians and vegans. So yeah... I think you should keep enjoying that peanuty stuff!

I use PB2 powdered PB in baking & shakes/smoothies 85% less fat and tastes great... still use the real deal for licking off the spoon LOL ;)

but found a fascinating article in the Portland Newspaper. http://www.portlandtribune.com/new... The reason I and many of my friends avoid peanut butter is that we all have Hepatitis C virus in our blood and peanuts are likely to have aflatoxins. If you're sensitive, you can taste them. It's a fungal mold that causes cancer. Dr Weil says it's mostly in the "grind it in the store" peanut butters. The one we think is healthiest. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/QAA... So I make my own cashew butter. I roast the cashews, then I make the nut butter in the VitaMix. It turns out really creamy like store-bought. I store the cashews in the freezer to keep them fresh. Peanut butter is good for you. Two tablespoons a day is fine but buy organic peanut butter. That's alot healthier for you. Trader Joe's makes a great one if you live near one of their stores. Don't buy regular peanut butter. It has added oils and sugar in it. Whole Foods has machines where you can make your own peanut butter or almond butter. That's ideal. But almond butter is better to eat. Just more expensive than peanut butter. But well worth it.
Make this great smoothie with peanut butter or almond butter. Take one banana, 2 tablespoons of almond or peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of agave syrup (replaces sugar), 3 ice cubes, 1/4 cup of organic almond milk, and blend it all together in a blender. You can buy agave syrup at whole foods, trader joe's, or even a health food store. I make this smoothie for breakfast every morning, drink it in a to-go cup on my way to work sipping it slowly so your body is tricked into feeling it is full, and I am not hungry again till lunch. It tastes great too. Let me know if you try it. Enjoy.....if you like avocado, let me know. I have a great smoothie made with avocado and dates. It tastes like dessert and it's completely healthy made with only whole food ingredients..
