I can get that way if I'm taking certain painkillers, they seem to mess with my appetite.
Do you have a daily routine that you follow at work, e.g. lunch breaks and mid-afternoon, etc? Or set a regular alarm reminder on your mobile phone perhaps? Another thing I've noticed is that it helps if I'm a bit organised about my shopping, and make sure I do at least have some good food in the house, e.g. fruit and other healthy snacks.

I used to skip breakfast AND lunch almost everyday when I was in my early 20's. I was very stressed and rushed and would leave no time in the morning for breakfast, and then work all day without planning a lunch break. For me I think eating just wasn't a priority. I wanted to sleep as late as possible in the mornings, and then at work I never wanted to refuse a client and lose money, so I'd work through lunch. Oftentimes I would get hungry about 3 or 4pm, and my stomach would growl very loudly, but I'd be in the middle of working with clients (I was a massage therapist), so I couldn't just leave, or eat while working.
One day I told a friend casually that I often don't eat my first meal of the day until 7pm. He was floored and said he could never survive. It wasn't until that talk that I clued in to what I was doing and how bad it was for me. So, I made a goal to eat breakfast every day, even if I was just grabbing a snack bar on the way out the door. What I found was once I started eating breakfast that I would actually get hungry a few hours later and want lunch too, so that just naturally became a priority too. Anyway, don't know if that's anything like you, but I can relate to forgetting to eat! Now I never forget to eat. :)

I try to eat six small meals a day. Try making little snack size bags of your favorite fruits, veggies, snacks, and lean meats (if you eat meat).
When I go through the trouble of making those the night before i go to bed i wont forget to bring them with me.

Yea, when I was depressed I would only eat one meal a day.
Lost a lot of weight over two months. Now I make sure I eat a lot of snacks between meals. It's pretty easy to grab some nuts and seeds in between meals or a fruit or some veggies.

I can totally relate!!! Recently due to some unfortunate events, I lost 12 lbs. Might not seem like a lot but i am 5"7 and currently weigh 106. NOT a good look for someone in their early 40's. i have finally found a weight loss/maintenance/gaining program that is working miracles. I never have eaten breakfast, rarely eat lunch and then eat at 9 or later. Not good but thank God for a high metabolism. If you would like more info on how I am getting my weight/health and happiness back, feel free to contact me anytime. I also don't sleep much so I am pretty much on my laptop or bl;ackberry 24-7.

I do not think (except many years ago when using crystal meth) I have forgotten to eat. And I got into the habit when I started eating healthy years ago of eating breakfast almost immediately upon awakening.

we all have busy, stressful lives, so it is easy to put things like breakfast on the back burner... lots of people have gotten into the habit of skipping breakfast, skimping lunch, eating an unhealthy dinner and munching out on junk all evening and late into the night...
Also, thirst is often confused with hunger, many folks simply don't drink enough water. they eat instead and wonder why the feeling doesn't go away... my question: would you forget to put fuel in your car? how far would you expect to get on an empty tank? Food is Fuel for Your Body, Not a Feast for Your Face. i'm just as guilty about skipping breakfast, but i have a sign on my kitchen door that says "Eat Breakfast & Take Your Vitamin" so at the very least, i am reminded of what i haven't done, take the vitamin, and grab a Glutino Breakfast Bar (I"m Celiac, so gluten free...)
