I watched the Ellen show yesterday and she had on that cooky lady that always has such strange ideas for health & beauty tips. Well, she had one that finally caught my ear - Cinnamon! She said that it has wonderful health properties such as it being a diuretic, great for lowering & maintaining blood sugar & cholesteral, helps in digestion, and even brain function!

I love it on toast with a little sugar/splenda & light butter... sprinkle over yogurt or fruit, coffee, smoothies... there's so much you can do!

I mainly use it in herbal teas, oh and mead recipes when I make some of that :)
(OK so alcohol isn't exactly healthy eating, but at least I can get it without all the chemical additives.)

I've recently starting taking cinnamon capsules and have had AMAZING results with helping to lower my blood sugar levels. It's been working great for me, and everytime i open the bottle, it makes me think of warm apple pie! Bonus!!!

I love slicing an apple or pear and sprinkling on cinnamon and heating in the microwave for 30 seconds. It is sooo good and very healthy.
