" i suggest getting a fiber supplement. i use Benefiber Chews. they are kind of like Tums, but they keep me on track and dont cause excess gas.

if you want a certain food, try something like Fiber One bars. or Kashi cereal "

" I use Papaya enzyeme tablets when I eat pork or beef for meals. I do not use them every day. Papaya is said to stimulate the bowels in times of constipation and is also believed to be useful in treating inflammatory bowel disorders.

My GI Dr says it would be OK to take Acidophilis, (good friendly bacteria to help the colon) which you can find in tons of food products now, especially yogurt (live cultures) Also you can take it in tablet form.

Also get your fiber and drink lots of water! "

" Beans provide more soluable fiber per serving thatn most cereals or whole grain pastas, accounting for 10 to the to 25 best foods sources for the dietary fiber that normalizes digestion and cardiovascular functions. The six best classic bean dishes are chile (with pinto beans) three bean salad, lentil soup and minesrone soup. "

" Apples and pears are also a good source of fiber however, pears have more water soluable fiber than apples. Pears also have pectin and supply more potassium for normal bowel function and cholesterol lowering. Low in calories, fat and sodium.

Beans and pears will help get your digestion on track. A more natural way than a powder. "

" All Bran cereal and probiotic yogourts are very good for digestion and elimination. I put a spoonful of sugar on the All Bran which makes it tastier and less boring and you don't need much to get your full day's worth of fiber. Within a day or two you will notice a difference and it's all natural and good for you. "
