I need help to lose weight!

I am Bipolar and can't take any pills to help me lose weight. I suffer from depression and anxiety. What do you think of the medication ALLI? Would it make me lose weight? My doctor said I could take it. Please, I need your advice as soon as possible. Blessings, Ivonne.

No pills. You are not an obese weight, so there is no reason why you can't reach your goal of weight loss and better health with diet changes and exercise.
As you are taking other meds, ask your dr if any of them are causing you to gain weight. If you are gaining weight because of one of your medications, it will take alot of exercise and diet changes to lose that weight. Maybe your dr can have you try an alternate med that does not have the weight gain side.. You can make some healthy changes to the way you are eating, but I think exercising would be great for you as it has been shown that exercising raises your spirits so it will help with your depression. you can ask just about anyone who exercises - they may feel tired or depressed before they exercise but every single one of them will say the feel better after exercising. You don't have to do huge strenuous workouts at a gym; you could start a walking routine. Since you like dancing, I am sure you could find some classes for dance exercising that would be great. The trick to exercising is to find the form that you enjoy. if you enjoy it, you will continue to do it. For your eating, you can keep a food journal. Write down everything you eat and drink for a week, then look at the items and decide what needs changing. Cut back on salts and sugars, and eliminate all the trans fats and cut back on the saturated fats in foods. Don't think eating foods with artificial sweeteners are good; they trick your body and you end up eating more, and the body does not know how to process the artificial sweeteners. The very simplest start is to eat smaller portions of everything. Just stay away from diet pills; they are bad for your body.

My granddaughter took Alli. She said it worked BUT the least little bit of fat intake sent her scurrying to the bathroom. She could not go out to eat or partake in company get togethers. She would not do it again.

I have been there myself and I am still loosing weight. The meds I took for my anxiety,panic, and depression didn't help and they put weight on me. I found out that eating healthy( lots of fresh fruits and vegetables) and takeing supplements and of course lots of walking exercise was the best for me. I am loosing weight, have no more panic or depression and I am off all medications. You can do this also if you give it a big try. There is a great web site that will help with diet and exercise plus all kinds of medical advise, support groups and anything you could ask for or think of and it is free check it out

First of all my dear there is no quick weight loss. But our bodies are amazing and they will adapt to letting go of excess baggage whenever its a synergistic response to it. Detoxing is one great ways of starting to let go of weight. It clears the mind makes the body more in tune with itself. You are letting go of emotions too remember that.
Submit to it and think about the goal you want. Being conscious of everything you do, including everything you eat. I would definitely start cleansing the body. Taking out the processed foods and eating more raw foods. Water rich foods with high fiber are key for the first stages. Eating more this way also brings peace of mind literally. You are a hormonal being and low energy foods and medications can cause us to be very emotional unbalanced. Try to cleanse!!!! Good luck to you......I will pray for you
