Does boiling a pan of water with a herbal tincture remove the alcohol?

Yes it does. If you do it, make shure to put your tincture in the fridge to store it. You don't want anything to grow in it.

Why are you concerned about the alcohol in a tincture? The amount of alcohol in your average tincture is about the same as in a glass of o.j. Also, when you heat your tincture, other constituents that are highly volatile will also evaporate, i.e. essential oils. Essential oils are a fragile, but extremely important element in many herbs, which is the point of making a tincture out of them in the first place...just so ya know:)
