Does boiling a pan of water with a herbal tincture remove the alcohol?

" Yes it does. If you do it, make shure to put your tincture in the fridge to store it. You don't want anything to grow in it. "

" Why are you concerned about the alcohol in a tincture? The amount of alcohol in your average tincture is about the same as in a glass of o.j. Also, when you heat your tincture, other constituents that are highly volatile will also evaporate, i.e. essential oils. Essential oils are a fragile, but extremely important element in many herbs, which is the point of making a tincture out of them in the first place...just so ya know:) "
