I have three boy teenagers home this summer. I am wanting to feed them more than just frozen pizza, frozen chicken nuggets and frozen pizza rolls. You get what I mean. I'd like to make it more nutritious meals and have some they can make as well with the right ingredients on hand.

Any suggestions would be great!!!!

" Sliced chicken breasts with chopped veggies. Roast in the oven for about 30 minutes. Serve with sweet chilli sauce.

I find that it is easier to have things easily on hand if you chop a whole bunch of salad or side veggies when you buy them.

Use you oven more! That is my advice, there are lots of put everything into a oven tray/pot and let cook recipes out there. If you have the time you can also make frozen meals from scratch. Enchiladas are easy. Just up the veggies and decrease the meats and you have a great super fast option in the freezer. "

" Pizza can be healthy and fun. If you go to sprouts, whole foods, or what ever health food grocery store you have available they sell whole wheat, whole grain, along with many other kinds of ready made pizza crusts. Buy a can of pre-made sauce, organic, or low/fat free cheese, tons of veggies for toppings along with lean choices of meat and you're good to go! If you pre-chop all the veggies and keep them in sealed baggies or Tupperware they last a long time. This is something teen boys could do and make themselves leaving less work for you. Just a suggestion! :) "

" We sometimes eat salad bar pasta, here is what that means:

Cook spaghetti
Lay out lots of different things to choose from to put on the pasta.
Suggestions are: Tuna, olive oil, olives, chutney, boiled eggs, chopped fresh tomatoes, bruschetta, sweet red peppers, etc. Anything.
Each person loads up a plate with cooked hot pasta and then takes whatever toppings they want to combine. We love this and it is very easy. "
