Contrary to Democrat accusations and spin, everyone - including Republicans - agree this is a great time to make needed changes.

The debate is HOW to do it without hurting the taxpayers.

Someone on another thread said healthcare is taken out of worker's payroll, something like the US income tax.

Since we ARE going to eventually have the single payor system, I think we should all get behind the president with one rule:

You have to do it without raising taxes.

Therefore, you have to cut current expenditures on junk - and Medicare and the VA are NOT junk - in an amount equal to the cost of nationalized health care.
