Hi, I found out I'm a carrier. My wife has HPV. We've been together for 18 years. There was a time where we separated for 3 years b/c we couldn't STAND EACH OTHER. & yes, we both had 2 different sex partners.

We know there's no use (& it's really stupid) to point fingers.

I would like to know if anyone knows of any national HPV groups that meets locally. I would like to join a group and meet face to face.

I have been a DS member for 1 1/3 yr. I know how beneficial DS is, and I believe that I'll get help here, and I WILL really try to be there for others in this group!!!!!

I work in Chicago, so I think there's some hope of being in a group around in that area.

" You're right not to point fingers, especially at this point. Where you live, check your local hospitals which may have support groups, or Planned Parenthood. Good luck! "

" this is hard to believe, but I couldn't find an active, regular-meeting HPV group in Chicago or the area. Maybe I didn't do a long enough search, but THAT'S HARD TO BELIEVE with so many people having HPV!!!! "

" Wonder if it's because the docs/medical community think it's so "common" and "not a big deal"( especially since the majority of pple never know that they have it?! )Seems that they aren't concerned about HPV really until it progresses into something more serious. I too couldn't find a support group..besides the communities on line. "
