Has anyone actually been able to get one?
My I.D. Doc says I'm on a waiting list in NJ, yet they are giving them to Wallstreet execs. (go figure).

" I was actually lined up for one as well. Then i started thinking about how the H1N1 virus hasn't really affected the nation for very long considering, then I started wondering how long they had to actually test the vaccine.

So I sort of said a little prayer for guidence, and I got a letter from the clinic that said they wouldn't be able to give me the vaccine.

I guess even if I wanted it I couldn't get it! Ha!

Anyway, the regular flu has still killed more people than H1N1. Just be safe Boxermc2! Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize! "

" Still in short supply here. They are only doing preganat women and infants. Nothing for the elderly or compomised immune systems yet. They don't even have waiting lists here. You go to this huge clinic and wait for hours. URGH!! "

" I lucked out and was able to get one on Oct. 28th. I'm thankful because the regular flu nearly killed me a few years ago! "

" I'd rethink vaccines in general. This one has been labelled unsafe. Adjuvent free is the way to go if you are thinking about it seriously. They are filled with mercury/Themerisol and SP40. The flu will mutate and the vaccine will not be effective anyway. If your CD4 count is normal then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
It's a bunch of hype. Also, the insert to the H1N1 vaccine in Australia explains that if you are immunocompromised then the vaccine will do little or nothing for you, however, it is better to be safe than sorry so they say.
Please just don't let doctors do things to you without doing the research and questioning things yourself. don't be a zombie. Questioning authority and being skeptical is healthy. Know what you put in your body.
Just my advice if it's worth anything. I'm not getting the shot. I will let you all know if I got sick! "

" Naturalwonder: As you may have seen in some of my earlier posts, you and I are of the same mindset. I think that a vaccine is like raping your imune system. Just the thought of introducing something like a virus (dead or active)in such an unnatural way, directly into your bloodstream. I am lucky to have grown up in a family that did not believe in vaccines. My family used (and continues to use) a homeopath and we are much more comfortable with the use of nosodes as a prophylaxis to such things. That having been said, I am conflicted on the H1N1. I have watched several co-workers come down with it this week and it is ugly. So far, I have escaped.
My CD4 count is up there, so I think I will take your warning as a sign and forgo the vaccine. Thanks everyone "

" Anyone on here HIV+ should be able to get the vaccine. HIV puts you in the high risk group. Just received this vaccine as well as the regular flu shot. Got flu shot first time in my life last year. I have not been sick all year. I recommend the vaccinations to all. And I am one who has a needle phobia-LOL! (Got over that!) "
