First, you need to confirm that you are poz. Having unprotected sex doesn't necessarily mean you are. Not suggesting you should, but I know lots of people who have and continue to and are not poz. If you were poz'd by this particular person, and it was fairly recent, a year wouldn't make a bit of difference assuming you're cd-4 cell count is high to begin with. Best of luck

Thanks a lot for your positive attitude, really feel upbeat, the problem is that I am in Saudi and the moment they detect its positive i loose my job :) I asumed to be positive coz of the symptoms, i lost around 9 kgs suddenly, i have some discolouring on my face, a small lump on my face thats the reason i assumed so

Ive never heard of those syptoms before ie. the lump and discoloring.. Now im not a doctor either put ive never heard of it.. If ur lymph notes are swelling that is a sign.. You are in a foreign country.. It could be the food or the water.. Im Pos and im actually puttin on weight, but it sounds like it could be food posioning/contamination.. Dont know what oyu do for your job, and what you eat and all. WIsh you the best of luck

I would say to get tested, especially if you have ANY doubt about the person you were with. Waiting doesn't make it any better, and if your cd4 count is already low, you need to get on meds right away. If you are exhibiting any strange symptoms I'd get my ass to a doctor, and soon.

robwatson. Your symptoms could be totally unrelated to HIV but if I suddenly lost 9kg and had a small lump appear on my face I'd be off to my docs like a shot. Don't play around with your life for the sake of a job man. I'm not saying get tested, just get someone to examine you!

I would see a doctor spot on your face and loss of weight could be a sign of cancer

note I had a lump on my face discolored. basil cell skin cancer and all they did was freeze it to kill it.

Get tested. Most likely it is not HIV. And whether or not it is HIV your life is more important than your job.
