Hi

I had a handjob exposure and minimal skin contact last Dec
Since then i developed GW and so ran through a serious of tests.

My HIV ELISA tests out till the 4 month after exposure came back negative.

1) Can i rest assured that i dont have to repeat the tests? (didnt have any other sexual contact after Dec 08)

2) I understand window period is 3 months for normal health. So, can i stop worrying about further tests at all?

" I'm with Boxer on this one. I would find that nearly impossible unless you had cuts or hangnails, etc. "

" Thank for your comments.

Since i seem to have contracted HPV Genital warts - i tend to feel nervous about the incident. I am not sure if there were cuts or hangnails on her hand or cuts on my genitals that were not very visible.

But, I would like to know if the negative tests after 4 months of exposure is all i have to believe. Does that mean i can get my mind off this or do you recommend further tests? "

" Hi there,

I recently had an unprotected sexual encounter with someone I do not know, and I am freaking out... I got down with a cold the next day, and fear that this is an early symptom, or this may just be a chance, as I have felt the cold coming the night before I even had sex. Could the early cold symptoms be that soon...?

I also would like to understand what are the chances of getting the virus if I had sex with an infected person... is it a 100% ?

I had the test 5 days after, but the report said that this is too early... dont think I can do the test again... too much pressure

Is there anything I can do or take as a precaution even if I have not been transmitted the virus...?

Hope you guys can help... "
