That sounds pretty scary. Targeted chemotherapy, what sort sort of targeted treatment? Chemo is chemo isn't it, it's a sytemic approach? They take you to the point where the body is nearly all but dead and hopefully your immune system will gradually return and hey presto we're cured.

I'm not too sure I would sign up for that one unless they could give me a cast iron gaurantee I'll come out the other side cured and still in one piece. How about you?

art1st: I don't disagree entirely, but chemotherapy has come a long way. I'm a cancer survivor and I can tell you that although systemic, it can be far less toxic than in years past. Frankly, if it helped find a cure for us or help others down the road, I'd try it.

That's why I said what sort of targeted treatment. Even the newer and less toxic approaches can have serious side effects. I'm just saying I'd have to weigh up the pro's and con's for chemo or sticking with Atripla until something less radicle comes along
