Seasonal influenza and H1N1 shot???
Watch this
View More Posts Ignore
I just went to the doctor today to receive my labs and everything was fine with the exception of my Vitamin D levels. I am still undetectable after two years on Atripla.

I had my flu shot but I have to return to receive my H1N1. The doctor told me that within a month he will give me the H1N1 shot on the opposite arm thta I took my influenza shot.

Does anyone know the reason for this practice of not being able to get the seasonal and H1N1 shot on the same arm?

He also prescribed some vitamin D capsules (4 t be more precise) to increase my vitamin D levels and told me to take one capsule a week for the next four weeks on a sunny day. I am sure this last recomendation its a joke on his part. Does anyone ever heard anything like this???

" I doubt there is any real reason why the 2 shots can't be in the same arm. I heard the experts from the CDC and FDA on the radio yesterday, saying that if H1N1 had appeared a bit earlier, they would have just combined it in with the seasonal flu vaccine, which is always a mix of a few strains of currently circulating human Influenza viruses.

Vitamin D levels are influenced by sunshine or other UV light.

Perhaps the pills you got are the prohormone, which still needs UV light to activate it. "
