So.. it's time. It's been 6 months since I was diagnosed and tonight is the night to start my meds. I'm scared. My Dr. has prescribed Combivir and Kaletra. Has anyone taken these two meds together? If so, what can I expect as my body adjusts over the next couple of days? I'm anxious and aprehensive.

Any advice or personal expeirence would be helpful.

Thanks!

" I know what you're going through with feeling scared. I haven't tried your combination, but my first combination made me feel slightly nauseous in the morning-time and that was about it. I think the fear of taking them was worse than the actual taking them if you know what I mean. I'll be thinking of you tonight. Take care, and talk soon!!! "

" I did Combivir but not Kaletra. I would say to expect nausea as centaur said, and I have also had excessive sweating at times. I've been switched three times now and I start a new combo on the first. Truvada and Isentress. Currently taking Reyataz,Truvada, and Norvir. I sympathize with you truly, The not knowing is worse than taking the pills themselves. Best of luck, and keep in touch. "

" I felt the same way you did when I first started taking my meds. They really made me sick. I take them at night before I go to sleep and when I wake up I really feel bad for a couple of hours. I've been taking them for about 8 months and adjusting to them. The trick is to keep taking them and your body will adjust. I do not take the same thing as you but I'm sure they probably all of pretty much the same side effects. Wish you the best and God bless! "

" I was on that combination when i was pregnant. It gave me very loose bowels. I took other meds to stop that, but it just makes bowel movement really uncomfortable. Other than that i was fine. Good luckxx "
