yes.........get one!

Flu shots are definately a must for those of us living with HIV. Also, you may want to see if it's time for you to get a pneumonia shot ~ and this year (for the first time) they will have shots for the swine flu for those of us living in the US. Get anything you can to help you stay well!!!!

I got my regular flu shot Sept 8th, just because there are So many people that have abominable manners, not covering mouth when sneezing, coughing--especially in the Dr's waiting area. Not a hypercondriac here, just preventative maintenance. The shot made me sleepy for two days afterwards. My ID Dr. told me that the CDC has NOT made HIV infected population part of the first wave of Swine Flu Shots, with kids and teachers and elderly in first wave. What is messed up about that is, the kids bring everything they catch back to household and the parents will be last on list for shots. My ID Dr. said they are appealing the CDC to include HIV people in first wave, but the US Gov't, upon finding out only ONE SHOT is actually needed rather than the first thought two-shot regimine, we are giving ALOT of our vaccine to other countries. Is this world getting more f***ed up or what?

Yeah my Dr, has me set up for both flu shots and I already have my pneumonia 5yr on the last visit...Aurora didn't have the flu shots in yet...

Yes, my doctor gave me mine during my last visit.

My Dr. too she said I must get both flu shot and pneumonia, never had either before and I hardly catch a cold, she thinks all doesn't matter, so I will get them next week.
