I got GBS in June 09 my walking has gotten alot better still off balanced but its better then nothing. Whats really driving me crazy are my hands, they are still very stiff and numb. Its like i have forgotten how to use my hands. Does it get better with time? Its like everything i touch feels like sandpaper.

Sarah so sorry to hear about your GBS diagnosis. I'm new to this support group and am still in recovery but almost back to my old self. I was diagnosed in 2/09 and I too have experienced numbness, tingling and weakness in my hands as well as my feet. It does get better with time. Some things I tried were daily practice on a keyboard, therapy silly putty or squishy balls will help with the strength and circulation in yoru hands. I still have some tingling and weakness but its bearable. Best of luck to you and your recovery.
