Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) Support Group

I have been taking Lyrica for over a year now. It helps me. Neurontin is also good.

I have often wondered the same thing. I take neurontin now but I always wondered.I was told the whole walking thing would come back, almost normal. Guess what? I still have balance problems. and if I do not take my neurontin my feet feel like black of cememnt.

Lyrica caused me to lose the dexterity I had regained in my hands and feet. It took months to figure out that my hands and feet weren't working because of the Lyrica. I begged my doctor to put me on Neurotin. I got better after the switch. I continue to have pain in my feet two years after being diagnosed with GBS. I need to know what else besides Neurotin works.

I was given both Neurontin and Lyrica I was maxed out on Neurontin so they gave me Lyrica my family doc told me they're basically the same medication.
