Ammo for the TSH fight

It seems we've all needed ammo for the TSH fight at some time
during our Graves' journey.

What does this mean?

Well, if you've had doctors like my first 3 endos, they were looking at TSH to make dosing decisions......this is DEAD wrong.

I explained the mechanisms of this error in my thread "First Step after Diagnosis".

If you are not feeling well despite being medicated for Graves' disease....whether you've chosen ATD's, RAI or surgery, there is a good change your TSH is suppressed as expected in Graves' disease.....and your FT4 level isn't at the right place for you.

(you can visit my thread "HyPOhell - How to avoid a trip" to understand how you need to find your "best place" FT4 level.)

I have been researching Graves' disease since my Dx in June 2007 - I've read countless posts on forums about the issues we all face with our docs re our suppressed TSH.

We've all suffered with symptoms because our docs keep looking at TSH for dosing decisions.

Just recently, I found a site that covers ALL the areas of the mis-placed concerns that my previous endos had.

This site provides links to medical journals that confirm:

Suppressed TSH is to be expected in Graves' disease and our bodies are fine without it.

Suppressed TSH does NOT cause cardiac issues.

Suppressed TSH does NOT cause bone loss issues.

Here's the link

http://www.altsupportthyroid.org/t...#bone

Having this information earlier in my journey might have helped me from many visits to hyPOhell ala my clueless endos.

Hope it helps you.

" Great link CD I took a few to my docs when first dx now there is more about TSH suppression and not just treating by TSH alone.

I hope that this helps others starting on there journey.

Thanks for the share.
