" I have previously been on Carbimazole/Thyroxine twice and it worked for me for a few years. Took quite a while to sort levels out first time because GP made a mistake n put me on Thyroxine n forgot the Carbimazole! Which made me go mega overactive having been hyper in the first place. Second time it levelled out much quicker and it worked much better. Unfortunately my goitre grew very large and I had to get RAI. I think it varies from person to person how the Carbimazole affects them. Perhaps I am not a good comparison because I have been under and over active during different times even when not on medication. Felt really bad at time but dont think I can contribute that to the Carbimazole just think it was due to feeling very bad at the time. I think if they had told me it might take a few months before they got the dose and levels right I would have been more patient and not so fed up with feeling bad. I did blame the Carbimazole at the time but on reflection just think it was the illness. Hope this helps. "

" I have been on Carbimazole for the past 10 months now for Graves Disease. I started on 5mg 1 tablet twice a day and recently have had it reduced to 1/2 tab twice a day. My last lab results were normal and i will be seeing my endo in the next week to see what he wants to do next. I honestly have had no problems with taking Carbimazole. Hope this helps :)
