Advice:
Levothyroxine & nausea
Watch this
View More Posts Ignore
Hi, I had RAI last March and shortly afterwards started Thyroxine treatment, finally settled out to 150 Micro Grammes a day about November time. My question is has anyone else suffered with nausea, not actually vomitting just a 'gentle' nausea nearly all day. It started when I settled down to 150MGs a day. I don't get it every day but more or less.
In anticipation, thanks for your replies

" If that's the name of your drug, Thyroxine, then you should look up the manufacturer's website for side effects, or pharmasist, or your Dr.

I have been taking Synthroid for 3+ years, no side effects like this.

Found these Eltroxin (levothyroxine) side effects:

Side effects caused by levothyroxine usually only occur if your dose is too high. For this reason, you should tell your doctor if you get any of the follwoing side effects:

chest pain (angina)
awareness of your heart beat (heart palpitations)
abnormal heart beats (arrhythmias)
faster than normal heart beat (tachycardia)
muscle cramps
diarrhoea
vomiting
shaking, usually of the hands (tremor)
restlessness
excitability
difficulty in sleeping (insomnia)
headache
flushing
sweating
fever
intolerance to heat
muscle weakness
weight loss.
