    Tuesday, August 5, 2008 | A Positive story

The head of the fine dining establishment at the place I work just offered me a chance to work for him, instead of the buffet. So instead of cooking for the masses and the gimmegimmes, I'll get a chance to be creative and offer real input.  He wants me to learn all the other areas first in case I have to fill in at other stations, but he wants me mainly to be the pastry chef/baker/desser...

    Thursday, September 18, 2008 | A Positive story

As I watch our stock market tumbling I find myself feeling cynical, how did these folks get us IN to this mess!  I then remember one of the the coolest coolest things about my job....THE PEOPLE...I get inspired all over again and I have to think we will all be ok.  When I do talks in schools or community groups I tell kids about the long haul medicine entails&nb...

    Thursday, October 2, 2008

I've been thinking tonight after reading so many encouraging words that I am in a depression which I know is not good for my health and recovery from my surgeries. Although I had to move 17 hours back to NM for my surgeries and recovery I still am alone almost all the time and emotionally I am completely alone here in my thoughts until I found this web site. Well, I ended up taking Kendyl in to see the Peds, and she has scarlet fever!  Poor bear!  I picked her up from daycare and my heart broke!  She was sooooo sick, she was pale, her eyes had dark circles and she was so wiped out she couldn't even cry!  She just whined.  When I went to change her diaper, she didn't even put up a fight.  She was so sick all she c...

  • My Grandson

    Tuesday, February 24, 2009 | A Positive story

Last night I took care of my daughter's four kids while they ran errands.  Jack, who is four, looked at me and asked why my eye was "bloody".  I said, "Remember, grandma has a problem with her eyes, and he replied "yes".  Then he asked if I was going to the doctor to get them "fixed".  I told him I was going in soon and he asked if h...
