I can't seem to do things right the first time on this site.I put it in comment instead of journal,duh! So my doctor calls and says I 3 appointments for "traction" therapy this nex week. He didn't explain what that would entail, he just said it would help relieve some of the disc compression. I looked online and it appears as though they place you on a table, then inver you and stretch you out. I am 5 foot tall and weigh 285 ok. Would't the sheer gravity be painful initself? Too much happening all at one time.....
My Aunt, as some of you know, I actually moved to Dallas, because she needed help. Well, she is almost 90 and she fell a week ago and we are just now finding out that she actually broke her back (two vertebrea) She cannot undergo the surgery that she needs due to blood thinners (cumadin)... The doctor just told me that he thinks that the best thing to do is to do RAI. I am a little scare about all of this. I think is mainly due to the unknown.
