My son and his family live in SC two weeks ago she up and ran off to NY and took his little girl. She has three kids there by two dads and she has been gone from there nine years and now she wants to be their mom. The funny part is she has been partying her ass ff since she has been there. He found out she had not pain their rent in three months and was hoarding all the bill money so she could go. My son has Graves disease and RA but can not get disability yet so he tries to work as much as possible. So he has gone to NY and got their daughter and is on their way to live with his stepdad and I. I tried to tell him not to marry this bi-polar, nut case but do they ever listen. I love them both and they lived with us from the time she was born till she was three. and then I couldn't take crazy woman anymore so they moved. I will not put my grandbaby on the street but I'll be darn if I want to do this again.

Will your son be living with you as well? If so, at least he'll have to take most of the responsibility for raising the child...

Yes he will but every dime he makes is going to have to go to a lawyer while we foot the bills. We are not rich people but we pay our bills. My husband drives a truck and I ride with him, we are home from Fri. to Sun. Finding a job in this area will be a great feat. I have Graves also and stress is a very main factor in making your graves worse. In no way is he total innocent in all this breakup either. I see his faults and hers to. I could choke the frigging crap out of them both. It is harder to turn your back then people think it is.

Hi snippy, welcome! I can relate to wanting to choke the crap outta them! It is a sucky place to be for sure, and no they never listen. I think you have every right to place some parameters on him if he is living in your home and you are fitting the bill. Such as crazy woman is not welcome.
I hope he sees and appreciates how lucky he is to have you guys to fall back on!

Believe me that was my first warning. She told everybody in NY she left Wade cause he drank to much and that is all she has done since she has been there. She told Wade that he could keep the girl for the summer but we have already contacted a lawyer and she is not going back.

I'm sorry I'm confused... I re-read your post but just can't get it... It's Friday...LOL... The bio mom left the son and went to NY... did she take the Granddaughter or leave her with your son and is your son living with you? Sorry I just want to understand. Welcome!

If your son does have a drinking problem, I would be very concerned about him living in your home with your grandchild while you are away the biggest part of every week. How old is your granddaughter?
