Hi There, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and that you are very scared. Even if your Dad has got glaucoma it doesn't mean that he will go blind. Many many people have this condition controlled by daily eye drops and have very good vision for the rest of their lives. Of course there are some like me who have other complications which this does not apply to, but I think your Dad will be OK if he follows the advise of his opthalmologist. I hope you will feel better soon.

Try not to worry too much, my family (and myself) h ave glaucoma and its treatable. He might not have it though, he could have an infection, my Mum gets them regularly, she has to use the prednisolone as well. It usually is given for infection. That could be all he has got, it will clear up soon.

You've had good replies here. I would only add that you might try to talk to your dad about your concerns for him. He sounds like a good dad, and you know he wouldn't want you worrying like this. You could make it like a "team effort" toward wellness. You're a lovely young person - he's a lucky dad!

Hi Queenie,
Thank you very much. Yes, my dad is a very good I couldn't ask for a better one =). I think I'm a little better than I was before my last post even though my heart still breaks everytime i see my dad putting his eye drops in. Last week though his left eye was blurry still is actually, so the doctor prescribed him 800mg 5 times a day instead of 4 and added another eye drop Trifluiridine 5 times a day. He did tell me once the inflammation is gone then his eyes will be okay again but I think he might just be saying to make me feel better cause he knows how much its been bothering me. Do you know if his vision will go back to normal once the inflammation is gone or the virus i might say? will he be able to see clear in his left eye again? My dad is R.N who works in the cardiovascular unit or trauma.. and sometimes he has to work nights which messes up his schedule with eye drops and i worry verrry much i call him all the time to make sure he has taken medicine as well as his eye drops. Will it worsen his eye that he doesn't get enough sleep? Well im blabbing here. Thank you guys so much again. God bless you all =)
