" I am not having much luck with it..but I also have had glaucoma a long time and I take 4 different meds 10 x a day...as of monday I am starting a new diet all designed to get this pressure down and keep it down and try to come off most of the eye drops...I am curious about two things..one my right eye is always bad..the very worst and I wear a contact lens in only that eye? I wonder if it has anything to do with it..also a lot of women wear eye make up I wonder if this is a problem and should I avoid it.. "

" I've had glaucoma since birth (38 yrs young), and I've never had a problem with make-up, nor did any Dr ever tell me to be careful with it. This is a new one on me, so is the diet. I've never heard of a diet that can reduce the pressure, but it's worth looking into.

To answer your question, I'm doing fine with Lumigan. "

" I've just recently started using lumigan. I don't recall if I mentioned that its just one tiny thing that puzzeled me, for a week, prior to deciding to use this drug. It has a tendacy to slightly increase the length of my eye lids, which is barely visible. One thing I am pleased with, is that it decreased my eye pressure from 12 to 9. Praise the lord. Also, by my using timoptic every morning, and night, and lumigan only at night, my vision is now 20/20 in one eye, and 20/25 in the other, with my glasses on. "

" I've had glaucoma since this past year, and I was amazed how fast my vision dropped over such a short amount of time.

I've always been borderline glaucoma (pressure 25 in both eyes) but always stayed stable. they always just told me to take artificial tears, and worked for quite a while, when I was a teenager, with better corrective lenses, I got up to 20/160 for awhile, was even starting to take Bioptic Drivers training, until the glaucoma started when I started taking the road tests for driving.

My pressure suddenly went up to 40. The sight in my right eye dropped from 20/200 to "2 fingers at 2 feet" pretty much overnight. I first started to notice it, not so much loosing vision, but I suddenly saw a blury spot right in the center of my vision, thats what lead me to the eye doctor, when I found out my sight had dropped so drastically like that. basically everything is clouded in the center.

the left eye, got a little bit worse, went from 20/200 to 20/300 overnight, but not to the extent that the other eye did. I was fortunate, and still able to read really large print with that one eye. The other ones pretty much completely blind now though, and I loose more in the other pretty much everyday little by little, some days are better then others but I notice contrast being my biggest problem lately.

Anyway, I've been on Travatan, and Istalol, Travatan at night, Istalol in morning, and its kept my pressure down to the high teens, which I suppose is good, but I still notice problems even with my pressure down, so I don't know, I may end up loosing it all over time, but I am not worried about it, for I understand now how to do things rather I have sight or not. I've even taking free braille classes online now, which I am excited about, but I got alot on my plate right now, between college and braille classes and mobility and living skills training. "

" I have been using Lumigan for 5 years - and also timoptic - and together these have kept my pressures fairly constant. My eye lashes have grown alot and my green eyes are turning brown. I'm able to wear contact lenses for all the working day - but am very sensitve to eye makeup and wear it very sparingly. "

" I have been on Lumigan for several years along with Cospot and Alphgan P. I haven't noticed any problems with drops. My eye doctor told me not to wear makeup any more because of the Glaucoma, not that I wore it much anyway. "

" I was diagnosed with glaucoma about three months ago. My pressures were 18. The specialist initially started me on Xalatan which brought the pressure down to 15. She then started me on Lumigan and the pressures went down to 12 over the ensuing month. I now am maintained on Lumigan. At first, there was slight stinging which later subsided. I have no problem with this medication. I was told by the doctor to be aware that any medication which gets on the skin outside the eye should be wiped away with a damp tissue, since it can cause darkening of the skin. "
