" Some additional info from J's Dad. I read my question this morning and realized it was a bit criptic by not including details. I have a 10 y/o son that was diagnosed with glaucoma 2 years ago. He has recently been put on xalatan. I am unable to find any reports or information on xalatan and long term affects in children (probably because none exist) I reasoned another approach to obtain such info would be to start posting on sites such as this in hopes of finding other parents who may have a child on the medication. thanks in advance for any info you may provide "

" Is your son being treated by a glaucoma specialist? I find mine is the best source of information. "

" QueenieEJC, thanks for your reply. yes, he is seeing a glaucoma specialist. A pediatric doc that is out of state and a local MD with few children in the practice. I have sought their opinions but am a data driven person and am hoping to find other parents of children on the medication to get a laymans opinion(more data points) There is little to no published information on the use of xalatan and its long term affects in children. Rarely will a pharma company get enough chidren to do a study on a drug designed for adults. anyway, I appeciate your reply. "

" There are natural cures that are safe and effective. Cures means no more glaucoma instead of just "treating" it for life. "
