I'm sorry you're feeling this way. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise! Like you, I've known I was gay (or a lesbian in my case) since I was about four years old. I tried to deny it for a long time, but then I realized I was becoming enamored with the thought of it. Someday soon you may come to realize you like your sexual orientation, and you want to be with a man who will love and respect you. It's not a very good idea to go through life wishing you were someone else. I suggest that, instead of dwelling on the negatives and pushing your thoughts down, immerse yourself in the positives. There are many great things about the LGBT community. We are quite an accepting bunch! I have many gay friends and I think they are all great people. Just give yourself some time. Educate yourself. There is a world of possibilities out there! And, yes, you CAN be gay and religious, For you, it's a good start to doing some research and staying true to yourself. Remember, don't let your sexuality limit your options in life. You can practice any religion or join any political party you choose! I'm Catholic and a Republican! Never be afraid to be yourself.
