When i first came out everything was fine. Today i was at lunch and ut of nowhere one of my closer friends says she is disowning me because i am crazy and i am a freak. I cried for 3 hours what do i do? It hurts that they have no respect for me or my sexuality.

" The truth of the matter is, you're really better off without your friend. Friendship is not only about hanging out with someone you have fun with, but also building a bond with someone who likes you for you. No exceptions. They should like the real you and nothing less. Find people who accepts you for you. "

" You need to give her time and space. There is nothing you can do other than care for her from a distance. Cards, letters, are all good. But for now stay away.

My dad told me that my friends left me because they were set adrift by my coming out to them. My Aunt Gail (she a psychologist) talked to my friend Stephen, who, cried in out garage. He admitted to her that he was really wacked out because he loved me like a brother. Now his brother likes boys. She said he defined who he was by our friendship. So I am giving him time and space. Last weekend he came over to swim and play pool with us for the first time in 3 weeks. Its getting better. He punched me in the shoulder and believe me, that's progress. A month ago he didn't want to spit on my grave. We are coming to be friends again. And yes, he's cute. "
