I am defected,
Different,
Incapable
Of ordinary tasks.
I can't cry.
I attended the viewing,
Funeral,

The Lone Tree
a tree
stands alone
on almost barren ground.
the tree
tries
to be strong
but won't last
forever.
hail and stinging sleet
assault it,

here in the dark.
