I am new to this support group. I was diagnosed with gastritis in late 2007. At that time I was put on Levisin (sp?) - Hydrocosamine is the generic. It was my "magic pill". I never left home without it. Earlier this year, when I went to pick up my refill, the pharmacy explained to me that Levisin was no longer manufactured, so my prescription was substitued with Hymax-FT. It did not work, so my GI doctor switched me to Dicyclomine which also did not help at all.
Does anyone know why levisin is no longer manufactured? Or is my pharmacy feeding me a line of BS? My GI doctor didn't say anything when I told him about the situation. Thanks for your help! Posted on 07/11/09, 12:07 am |

hi, i take belladonna it a gen form for donnat, might not spell right. it helps but it not been working as it use tio not sure why the manufacture was out of it and i thought i was never going to get it again.
i try those other and they dont work. i have heard incase your is i see if i can find out. Librax and spasmonal is supposal be good, but right noiw i cant get my dr to write for them.... i cant find anything aout on the net, hey do you have more then one pharmacy?? i would call and ask if they carry it and if they do then you know if they dont then you can ask if it stiull is. i try find out for you... hang in htere.. take care ang
