" Hi!

I also had a chronic gastritis some months ago and I took prisolec ( omeprazole ) once or twice a day. It took about a month or two for the gastritis to go away, but it DID go away, so don't worry.

What also helps is not eating to sour, fat or spicy. It really does help!

Hope you're better soon! "

" No I haven't gained my weight back yet but now that the gastritis is gone I can eat normally again, so I hope that it'll come soon. :)

I did have some side effects from omeprazole like some bowel pains and issues but they went away after a week or two.
The zantac doesn't give me any side effects though.

At this moment, I only take zantac but I'll probably stop taking it because the gastritis is gone. "

" I've had several severe attacks of gastritis. The last one over 7 months ago. I kept a food journal after I started treatment and I noticed it took nearly two months to recover. I was on Nexium and Pepcid Complete. "
