Yes, prevacid does cause diarrhea. It's one of the side effects of taking prevacid. This side effect seldom happens to people who take it. If prevacid is the cause of the diarrhea you are experiencing, I suggest you stop taking it. To be sure, consult a doctor to know if that kind of medication is right for you.
